My Story
I have hated this woman for the wrong reasons. This woman failed to defend her ideas in front of others during meetings. And in countless occasions she would stay silent out of fear of being judged by her accent. Sometimes, she would let go of opportunities because she felt unqualified. That woman was me.
What I realize now is that I hated myself for the lack of self-confidence. I joined Scentsy in 2016 with the goal of supplementing my income and help me pay for my son’s tutoring classes. On the first year, I had the opportunity to attend Scentsy Family Reunion (SFR). During SFR, you get to attend training, first look at new products and listen to motivational speakers. Little did I know that joining Scentsy and attending SFR will change my life.
The motivational speaker was Nick Vujicic and I had a front row seat. If you have never heard of him, you must know, he was born without arms and legs. He talked about how hard his life has been since the day he was born. And how the kind words of a janitor in his school helped him realize his true potential. Today, he is a motivational speaker dedicated to inspiring others.
That night I learned to believe and love myself back again. I learned to reach for my dreams, no matter how scary they look at first. Since then, I have met many who Scentsy has blessed with a 2nd chance in believing. My goal as a Scentsy consultant is to be your fragrance mentor and help you believe back in yourself.
Sometimes the fear of success can be more paralytic than the fear of failure. If that ever happens to you, believe in yourself because you are destined to be successful.
